7th of MAY, THE DAY OF ACTION IN IRELAND

WE CALL UPON ALL FRIENDS, COMRADES AND THE DECENT PEOPLE OF IRELAND TO JOIN US ON THE 7TH OF MAY FOR A DAY OF SOLIDARITY ACTION

Ten revolutionary prisoners currently on hunger strike in Turkey’s solitary confinement prisons, the S,R,Y type prisons.

The leading one is called Sercan Ahmet Arslan and today (20^th April 2025) he is on the 183^rd day of hunger strike. That’s more than 6 months.

Serkan Onur Yilmaz 162^nd day.

Mulla Zincir 159^th day.

Baki Can Isik 123^rd day.

His mother, another revolutionary prisoner, Yurdagul Gumus 110^th day.

Mithat Ozturk 67th day.

Hasan Ali Akgul 62^nd day.

Ali Araci 62^nd day.

Ayberk Demirdogen 41^st day.

And Fikret Akar 22^nd day.

They say, they would rather die with dignity, than living in a concrete box.

The resistance achieved victory. 10 other revolutionary prisoners have previously carried out hunger strike resistance and after lengthy and agonising weeks and months, their demands were met, and they were transferred to other prisons where they can be with their friends and comrades.

The resistance comes with cost of losing health, therefore it is up to us to let them know that they are not alone, and we care about their well-being.

We call upon all our friends and comrades especially in Ireland to join us on the 7^th of May, the day when Sercan will be on the 200^th day of his hunger strike, for a day of hunger strike. You can also send them support letters. You can call or write letters to the Turkish embassy in Dublin and/or Turkish Ministry of Justice stating the solitary confinement means torture.
