True to its mission since its beginning in 1998, Jericho stands in full solidarity and support of all U.S. held Political Prisoners. But it’s support of Political Prisoners does not stop there.

Jericho recognizes the necessity of extending its solidarity to all Political Prisoners around the world who have stood and fought against all forms of fascism, imperialism, and colonialism.

At this moment we recognize and acknowledge Political Prisoner Fikret Akar in Turkey, as well as his comrades with him.

Many activists in the United States fasted from dawn to dusk on May 20^th in solidarity Fikret Akar and all Turkish Political Prisoners. This expression of solidarity and awareness is essential to constructing the international bridges of support that must be built.

The support for Political Prisoners is the cornerstone and hall mark of any and all genuine movement for justice and freedom.
