Zehra Kurtay is in danger to be extradited to Turkey, her mother country from which she exiled due to political persecution, torture and imprisonment.
She was detained some weeks ago and kept in a detention center for about 4 days. Protests in different countries took place when people heard about the planned extradition. After a hearing regarding the continuation of her detention, Zehra was released.
But now Zehra is awaiting the actual trial regarding her extradition to Turkey. It has been set for Wednesday, 18 June.
No extradition of political refugees!
Political asylum is a right, it can’t be cancelled for political reasons.
