This the letter of political prisoner Sercan Ahmet Arslan who finished his hungerstrike after 234 days with a victory.
“Today, through our resistance against ‘well-type’ prisons, the peoples of the Middle East resisting imperialism/Zionism are united and as one”.
In a letter sent by Sercan Ahmet Arslan, who was on an indefinite hunger strike against well-type prisons, he expresses his gratitude to those supporting the resistance.
“Since the beginning of our indefinite hunger strike resistance, I have tried to express that well-type prisons are a continuation of the isolation attacks initiated with the F-type prisons of imperialism.”
“To see every struggle against imperialism as a source of strength for ourselves was the right stance for anyone who views the world through the polarization between imperialism and the people. Today, through our resistance against well-types, the peoples of the Middle East resisting imperialism/Zionism stand united.”
“Just like life itself, the struggle must not remain on the sidelines but be lived from within. There were those who should have been in it, but weren’t — they are worth criticizing. Because the purpose of these well-types is to isolate and render one hopeless. And those who continue to resist stand at the very center of life.”
“Is it really the time to stop, under these conditions? I want my comrades to live as well. I send my respect and love to everyone who supports us.”
