A French farmer in direct solidarity with Zehra Kurtay

A French farmer started a one-week support hunger strike for Zehra Kurtay, who has been on an indefinite hunger strike resistance since 3rd of July, for her right to residence.

The farmer, who saw news about Zehra Kurtay’s resistance on TV and was impressed, immediately bought a bus ticket, travelled to Paris and joined the hunger strike.

Francois is a 72-year-old retired farmer. Throughout his life he has been there wherever there has been injustice and now he felt it his duty to stand by Zehra Kurtay’s side and came from 550 kilometres distance to be part of her resistance.

Francois started his one-week hunger strike on the 17th July.
