Zehra Kurtay – Visit on the 26th day of hunger strike

Resistance and acts of solidarity continue in the heart of France, where a resistance tent was installed by the political refugee Zehra Kurtay to defend her right to residence and political refugee status.

On the 26th day of her indefinite hunger strike (July 28th), a visit was made by an AIF comrade from Greece at the resistance tent in Paris.

Beside an interview with Zehra, there were also recorded video messages in support of the hunger strike of People’s Lawyer Gunay Dag, who continues a similar struggle for the right of political asylum in Athens. A call was made thereby to join a 1-day solidarity hunger strike on the 30th of July and also to make 1-day solidarity hunger strikes in support of the revolutionary prisoners in Turkey against the S, R and Y isolation prisons.

Serkan Onur Yilmaz, one of the 6 hunger strikers against pit-type prisons in Turkey, has already past 260 days of his protest and his health situation is very critical.
