International participation in 1 day solidarity hunger strike

On the 13th of August, in various countries of Europe, people of different nationalities joined a 1-day solidarity hunger strike to support the demands of the death fast resister Serkan Onur Yilmaz and other political prisoners on indefinite hungerstrike against “High Security Prisons” and type S, R and Y isolation prisons. Serkan Onur Yilmaz has reached his 277th day of death fast today. If the government in Turkey will not stop this policy, he might be the first to get martyred in this legitimate struggle against isolation.

GREECE:

In Greece 40 people joined the 1-day solidarity hunger strike today for the demands of Serkan Onur Yilmaz to be accepted. Video of Konstantina Kartsioti who was part of the hunger strike.

FRANCE:

In France as well the solidarity actions with the resistance in Turkish prisons continue. Secours Rouge (Red Aid) supported the 1-day solidarity hungerstrike:
“The Secours Rouge chapter of Marseille supports the struggle of revolutionary political prisoners in Turkey against torture through solitary confinement. The hunger strike till death of our comrades in Turkey is an act of resistance that calls on all those who resist imperialism and the ruling classes. Prisons, torture, and repression cannot defeat popular resistance.”

UKRAINE:

The antifascist brothers Mikhail and Aleksandr Kononovich, themselves prisoners of the Ukrainian regime, express their international solidarity with death faster Serkan Onur Yilmaz and other political prisoners in Turkey on indefinite hunger strike against isolation torture. They joined a 1-day solidarity hunger strike today.

BELGIUM:

Members of the Flemish anti-fascist organization Zannekinbond sent soldarity messages and also joined the 1-day solidarity hunger strike for Serkan Onur Yilmaz and other political prisoners in Turkey in their struggle against pit-type isolation prisons.
