Serkan Onur Yilmaz visited by deputy Ömer Faruk Gergerlioglu

Full attention is now necessary for political prisoner Serkan Onur Yilmaz who has been on a death fast for 279 to protest the cruel isolation conditions of his friends still remaining in pit-type prisons, while himself was transferred to Bolu F type prison as a result of his resistance.

Once again the observations and words of Ömer Faruk Gergerlioglu who visited Serkan Onur Yilmaz yesterday at Bolu’s F type, confirmed that he is close to death and that it’s necessary to put all forces together and to shout: ‘Don’t let him die, accept his demands immediately!’

Ömer Faruk Gergerlioglu published following post on his x.com account after the visit: “This prisoner on death fast must not die! Today, I visited Serkan Onur Yılmaz in Bolu F Type prison. He was on death fast in protest against pit-type prisons. ‘I am on my 278th day and I am dying, Mr Ömer,’ he said. His arms were covered in scabs and dry skin. He was exhausted!”
