Message from Serkan Onur Yilmaz on Day 300 of his death fast

This is the message of a political prisoner in Turkey – Serkan Onur Yilmaz… His resistance, a death fast, is the most advanced in the struggle of prisoners against isolation cells of S, Y type and High Security Prisons.

Serkan is continuing to refuse any food, except of liquids as water and tea, sugar and vitamin B1 (just to avoid brain damage). Today he has reached 305 days of his death fast resistance. He was transfered already a while ago from this murderous prisons called pit-types. But he wants his comrades to get out of these terrible places, so he continues to resist and every day he comes closer to death – but not to be defeated.

“I extend my heartfelt greetings and love to everyone who has paid the price, worked hard, resisted, and been detained for our struggle up to this point.

Over the past 300 days, we have struck powerful blows against the types of isolation; we have inherited the legacy of the 122 who became immortal by resisting F-type isolation, and we have forged bonds with the peoples of the world.

We turned our pain and the torture we endured into resistance through our hunger.

The breath we have taken for 300 days has choked the lungs of those who imposed isolation. Now every day is a victory.

Every day I continue the resistance means defeat for them.

We have always won together until now, and we will always win together from now on. May our 300th day of victory be blessed!”
