Video – Message to end the communication ban imposed on Fikret Akar

This is the 4th video message in the last 4 days to express concern and protest regarding the communication ban imposed on political prisoner Fikret Akar.

Today a video message was received from Austria in protest against the communication ban and type S,R,Y- and High Security isolation prisons.

It is stressed that this communication ban is an additional punishment to the isolation torture already imposed on the prisoner Fikret Akar, who has been on indefinite hungerstrike for 171 days with the demand to be transfered from the isolation cells of Bolu High Security Prison. It is unacceptable to block communication with a hunger striking prisoner in such a critical stage, not to provide or receive news about his health state.

The authorities also have to listen and to accept the demands of Serkan Onur Yilmaz and Ayberk Demirdögen, both on death fast against “pit-type” isolation prisons, before any of them will die.
