One-day solidarity hunger strike from mothers in Europe

September 24, 2025: To make the voices, the demands of the death fast resisters in Turkey’s isolation cells heard, mothers in different cities and countries in Europe held a one-day solidarity hunger strike today.

The made following announcement and appeal to the Ministry of Justice and the International Public:

“The death fast against pit-type isolation cells in our country’s prisons continues! Serkan Onur Yılmaz is on his 317th day of death fast resistance, Ayberk Demirdögen is on his 195th day.  

We, as mothers, call on the Ministry of Justice to fulfil their demands and prevent deaths!

 Our appeal to the public and all conscientious democrats: Let us save them!

To share Serkan and Ayberk’s hunger, we will hold a one-day solidarity hunger strike today. Join us to demand that their demands (the deamnds of other mother’s children), who have been starving for months, be met!
