Bolton-Manchester: International meeting about hunger strike

On 27th September at the Bolton (Manchester) Socialist Club, a presentation was held about the hunger strike resistance against pit-type prisons and the long march to Palestine carried out by the “Delegation Until Victory.”

The meeting was attended by 25 people. The comrade speaking on behalf of Anti-Imperialist Front invited everyone to observe a minute’s silence in honor of those who lost their lives in the struggle against imperialism, fascism, and Zionism.

Afterward, the December 19, 2000 massacre and the major resistance against F-type prisons were described, followed by the screening of a video titled Morgue X. Then, the resistance against pit-type prisons was recounted, along with the hunger strike resistance of Serkan Onur Yılmaz and Ayberk Demirdöğen. It was stated that 17 revolutionary prisoners resisted and managed to return to their comrades.

In the final part, questions from the audience were answered, and a call was made to join the signature campaign. It was also suggested to contact the Turkish embassy by letter or phone to request information about Serkan.
