Updated: Solidarity hunger strikes and actions on October 1

October 1 – ONE DAY-HUNGERSTRIKE and ACTION:

A call was made for a one-day hunger strike at short notice. Following this call 129 persons in 12 countries shared the hunger with the death fast resisters of prisoners in Turkey.

Further, the 11 participants of the “UNTIL VICTORY DELEGATION”, which has started its journey through 14 cities of Europe on 20th September towards Gaza to break the siege and to put an example of international solidarity, joined one-day of solidarity hunger strike for the resistance to pit-type prisons.

ACTIONS in front of the GENERAL CONSULATE and EMBASSY of TURKEY:

On October 1, a rally was held in front of the General Consulat of Turkey in Cologne to support the death fast resistance to S,R,Y prisons and to protest yesterday’s raids to houses of revolutionary-democratic persons in Turkey.

Today also a press statement was read during a rally in front of Turkey’s embassy in The Hague to support the demands of the death fast resistance.
