After a one-month communication ban (see our article), the brother of the hunger-striking prisoner Fikret Akar visited him on October 6.

He has been suffering from serious health problems for the past 15 days.
In particular, he can no longer eat sugar, because his body no longer tolerates it. He suffers from intense muscle pain and cramps, which disturb his sleep, and can no longer sit up.
Alongside several revolutionary prisoners, he has been on indefinite hunger strike since March 30, 2025 to denounce “pit-like” prisons known for their inhumane detention conditions.
