Paraguay – HUNGER STRIKE BEGINS

Today, 28 October, Paraguayan political prisoners will begin a hunger strike with three fundamental demands:

-That Carmen Villalba be allowed to actively participate in the search for her daughter Lichita, who has been missing for five years

-An end to the system of torture to which they have been subjected since 12/10/24

-The right to study and read books, which is currently prohibited, even as a form of punishment

We call on social and human rights organisations to be on alert for the health of our three comrades, and we hold the Paraguayan state responsible for the physical integrity of Carmen and Laura Villalba and Francisca Andino.
