Solidarity online meeting for resistance to S,R,Y prisons

On 16th November, an online meeting was organized about the resistance in SRY type prisons of Turkey. The event, that was organized with the initiative of AIF (Anti-Imperialist Front Belarus) was joined by around 15 people from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine and Italy.

During the meeting, the history of hungerstrike resistances in Turkey, the architecture of S, R and Y type prisons and its conditions were explained.

Another subject of the informative gathering was the hunger strike as a weapon of resistance in prisons. 

Finally, as an expression of international solidarity, it was decided to form a Committee for Solidarity with Political Prisoners in Turkey.

The solidarity among the people and with the powerful resistance in Turkey’s prisons thereby is being enlarged in another part of the world.
