Hungerstrikes in Turkey continue- Send Letters

The latest victory of political prisoners in resistance to the pit-type isolation prisons was achieved by Fikret Akar.

He was kept at Corlu-Karatepe High Security Prison and transfered to Tekirdag’s F Type prison, where he has now interrupted his indefinite hunger strike.

The hungerstrike and death fast resistance to isolation prisons of S, R and Y (pit-type) isolation prisons in Turkey has started around 2 years ago and continues with almost 20 victories.

Eight revolutionary prisoners are currently continuing their resistance with the same determination. They are resisting both pit-type isolation prisons and the various rights violations and isolation practices to which they are subjected in other types of prison.
