Anti-fascist Alexander Kononovich released after being captured to the medical commission for recruitment

This afternoon, we received an urgent alert from Mikhail Kononovich, reporting that his brother Alexander has been kidnapped in Kiev by employees of the Territorial recruitment center.

Anti-fascist political prisoner Alexander Kononovich was kidnapped just before the court session, where the brothers were supposed to extend the measure of restraint and wear a GPS bracelet.

This act is considered as a provocation organized in order to accuse Alexander of failing to appear in court without a valid reason and to change his measure of restraint to stay in jail.

Alexander Kononovich was brought to the medical commission, from where they intend to send him to the training ground.

Meanwhile we received the news that political prisoner Alexander Kononovich was released from the recruitment center towards nightfall, at the beginning of the curfew. 

«Comrades, right outside the court, they knocked me to the floor, handcuffed me, took away my phone so that I would not have a connection, and rampaged. Zelensky’s regime is trying to mock political prisoners in this way. To make it clear to people: there is simply no medical commission. I just walk into the doctor’s office, they put the seals “fit for military service” on the paper, and that’s it.»

«Once again, I want to clarify the situation. Today we had a trial as a measure of restraint, we had to extend house arrest with the wearing of a GPS bracelet. We didn’t show up for the trial, because Alexander was kidnapped right before the trial: I went to register, he printed out the documents, because there was no light at home. I went into court and told the judge and the prosecutor that Alexander has been kidnapped. They told me it can’t be: he’s wearing a GPS bracelet and with a court order.
