Book of Ayten Öztürk- A female political prisoner tells her story about 6 months resistance to torture

Ayten Öztürk is a socialist political female from Turkey, who has been subjected to all kinds of torture in a secret detention center near Ankara.

Detained at Beirut’s airport in March 2018, she was unofficially handed over to the Turkish intelligence service and then taken to a secret torture chamber in Turkey, where she was kept for 6 months and faced systematic torture.

The punishment for her political steadfastness and resistance continued when she was brought to justice, being charged without evidences, based on a false statement.

The torture remainis unpunished, while Ayten was imprisoned for no other crime but her political thoughts and her ongoing struggle for justice to reveal and put an end to torture crimes. Recently Ayten Öztürk is being held at Kandira’s F Type Prison No 1.
