Campaign continues in solidarity with the prisoners’ resistance

The campaign in support of prisoners resisting the isolation prisons of S, R and Y in Turkey continues on a weekly basis. In addition to one-day solidarity hunger strikes, people send messages to the Antalya prison administration and the Ministry of Justice to remind them of their responsibility for the prisoners’ lives. Letters are also sent to the hunger strikers to let them know that their demands are supported by people outside.

Saturday, 4 April 2026 marked the 250th day of Tahsin Sagaltici and Gürkan Türkoglu’s indefinite hunger strike.

They are still being held at the high-security prison in Antalya, where Hüseyin Özen has been on an indefinite hunger strike as well for around 230 days, demanding to be transferred to a prison without conditions of systematic torture through isolation.

In support of their demands, 198 people across Europe took part in a solidarity hunger strike on Saturday, April 4, 2026.

E-MAILS SENT TO THE MINISTR OF JUSTICE IN TURKEY:

A total of 81 emails were also sent to the Ministry of Justice, demanding the immediate transfer of prisoners on hunger strike to a non-pit-like prison close to their families.
