Spain: Political Prisoner Released after Three decades

The PCE(r) political prisoner Lucio García Blanco will was released from Villabona Prison on 26 April without having agreed to the demand for a confession, despite suffering from senile dementia and having been tortured.

On 26 April, the Spanish prison authorities will have to release Lucio García Blanco, a 75-year-old labourer and communist activist with the PCE(r). The political prisoner will be released unconditionally after serving his full sentence, having spent three decades in Spanish prisons.
