INTERNATIONAL SOLIDARITY FOR POLITICAL PRISONERS (IS4PP)

Solidarity with Tugcenur Özbay

Solidarity was mobilised this weekend for Tugcenur Özbay, a female political prisoner who has been on hunger strike for 100 days to protest against the Sakran prison administration’s degrading imposition of a prisoner ID badge.

The 8th of May marked the 100th day of her protest. Since she started her hunger strike, she has dropped to 45 kilos.

Once again, dozens of people took action to support Tugcenur Özbay’s demands.

A one-day solidarity hunger strike was held by 31 people in four European countries after a call from the Support Association of Prisoners’ Families (TAYAD).
