Message from Lonko Facundo Jones Huala

We share a message from Mapuche activist Lonko Facundo Jones Huala, a political prisoner held by the Argentine State in the maximum-security prison, Unit 6, in Rawson, who, together with all those supporting him, to secure his transfer to Unit 14 in Esquel, which was one of his demands.

For this, he undertook a hunger strike that today (June 7, 2026) marks its 40th day and which he has not yet ended until the transfer is effective, though he has switched to a liquid strike in gratitude for what has been achieved.

We request: Support outside the prisons, both in Rawson and Esquel, until his release is secured – which we know is what is right – and that this audio be shared as widely as possible. “The people’s support strengthens the struggle and reaffirms our commitment to keep going,” said those close to him.
